What sets HyperPROtect TPU Paint Protection Film Matte apart
Matte paints are delicate: they cannot be polished, every scratch stays visible. The HyperPROtect Matte solves this dilemma — it lays a silky matte, reflection-free protective layer over the paint that stops damage from ever reaching the substrate. Conversely, it turns gloss paints into a high-quality matte look without the need for a respray.
Beneath the matte surface works the same technology as in the gloss variant: a cast TPU core that elastically absorbs stone chips, and a thermally activated topcoat that closes fine scratches under heat. The hydrophobic coating keeps water spots away — otherwise a constant issue on matte surfaces.
UV resistance and salt water durability make the film fit for the long haul; besides vehicles it also suits furniture and boat surfaces where a matte, robust finish is wanted.

How the work is done
- 01 Pre-clean thoroughly Clay and degrease matte surfaces before application — inclusions cannot be polished out later.
- 02 Apply wet Float on with application solution, align and squeegee out with a soft squeegee.
- 03 Avoid pressure shine Work with moderate squeegee pressure so the matte structure is not compressed.
- 04 Warm the edges Fix wrapped edges with a little heat and let vent for 24 hours.
Frequently asked questions
Can I apply the film to gloss paint?
Yes — that is exactly one of the main uses: gloss paint gets a matte look and full PPF protection at the same time. The film can later be removed without residue.
How do I care for the matte surface?
With pH-neutral shampoo and soft cloths. No polish, no wax — the hydrophobic coating handles the beading effect.
Does the matte surface also self-heal?
Yes, via heat activation — e.g. with a heat gun on a low setting. The matte structure is preserved.
