What sets HyperPROtect TPU Paint Protection Film Black Gloss apart
The black gloss variant of the HyperPROtect combines two jobs that usually require two products: it gives the vehicle a deep, high-gloss black and at the same time protects like a classic paint protection film. Unlike a thin wrapping film, a full 150 µm TPU core sits beneath the surface — stone chips, car park dings on door edges and car wash scratches stay in the material instead of in the paint.
The finish reaches a gloss level above 95 and rivals a freshly sealed piano black surface. Small swirls, which stand out particularly on dark surfaces, are closed by the self-healing topcoat under heat — a noticeable everyday difference, especially on black.
Installers appreciate the thermoplastic properties: the material can be precisely formed around curves with heat and then sits permanently tension-free. Salt water resistance and high impact resistance round off the profile for tough use.

How the work is done
- 01 Decontaminate the surface Wash, clay, degrease — on dark surfaces every trapped fibre shows twice as much.
- 02 Plan the panels Place joining edges along creases or body seams so transitions stay invisible.
- 03 Apply wet Position with application solution, then squeegee out bubble-free with a soft squeegee.
- 04 Use heat in doses Briefly warm and form around curves — avoiding overheating prevents gloss loss.
Frequently asked questions
Does the film replace a black paint job?
Visually yes: the result is a seamless high-gloss black. In addition, the original paint underneath stays protected and retains its value.
Does self-healing also work on coloured film?
Yes. The thermally activated topcoat sits above the colour layer — fine scratches close under heat just like on the transparent variant.
